Members of the DeKalb County Legislative Delegation, co-chaired by State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) and State Senator Emanuel Jones (D-Decatur), will host a series of town hall meetings. The meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, September 16, 2019, from 6:30 – 8p.m. at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia;
  • Tuesday, October 1, 2019, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library in Tucker;
  • Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Manual J. Maloof Auditorium in Decatur;
  • Monday, October 21, 2019, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Brookhaven City Hall in Brookhaven.

The town hall meetings will include public hearings on Senate Bill 7, which would implement certain changes within the DeKalb County Board of Ethics. SB 7 was passed during the 2019 session and will require ratification by DeKalb County voters in a special election on November 5, 2019.
