District Attorney Sherry Boston would like to invite you to join her for her 10th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness program, Building Bridges, Making Connections: Stories of Survival.
The program will take place virtually on Friday, October 30th at 1 PM, and will feature a fireside chat with three of our past keynote speakers – dynamic women who are the embodiment of survival, strength, power, and purpose!
Around this time of the year, DeKalb Solicitor General Donna Coleman Stribling’s office is usually prepping for their annual resource exhibit and fundraiser, Dancing with the DeKalb Stars, which benefits Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence & International Women’s House. They’ve had to shift their plans this year due to COVID-19, but they are still doing the work.
You can still help by participating in the “drive by” Dancing with the DeKalb Stars Donation Drive
on Friday, Oct. 30, and support these organizations doing the work to interrupt the cycle of abuse.
How can you help? We are asking the DeKalb community to donate cleaning supplies, paper products and under garments of all sizes for women & children. Donations can be dropped off at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center, 3181 Rainbow Dr., Decatur, GA 30034.
Remember no one deserves physical, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse. If you need to talk because you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship. Please call 1 800 33 H A V E N. DeKalb County has several organizations that either shelter or provide resources to help!
