Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program

Residents aged 65 or older or those who are home bound can apply for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) administerd by the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services. This federally funded program assists low-income, elderly and disabled Georgians with heating bills through direct payments to home energy suppliers.

Partnership for Community Action’s (PCA) L.I.H.E.A.P. is a free service that allows a once per program year payment of $310 or $350 towards your home energy bill. Applicants will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

Thursday, November 1st, 2018, The Energy Assistance Program for Senior households, 65 and older, and home bound households began.Beginning Monday, December 3rd, 2018 the Energy Assistance Program will open for the General Public.
