A new master plan is being developed for Peachtree DeKalb Airport. This will plan will:

  • guide needed improvements;
  • ensure the airport meets safety standards and stays modern;
  • consider adjacent land and environmental uses.

A Citizens Advisory Committee is being appointed by DeKalb County and by the cities of Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville and Dunwoody. This committee will be a forum to gather citizens ideas and concerns. It will serve as an educational tool to broaden understanding of the airport and be a means to build consensus.

Commissioner Gannon is looking for two people to appoint, who reside in the unincorporated area of Super District 6, since the nearby cities will also be making appointments. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please send a brief email telling us why you are interested in serving and any particular qualifications you have.

We need to do this right away, as a consultant has been hired and the planning process is about to begin.
